Jackson Parish Arrest History
An arrest creates records with several custodians. The officer's agency writes an incident or arrest report. Jail intake produces a booking entry. Fingerprints may create or update a Louisiana Computerized Criminal History event. The district attorney then screens the matter, and the clerk opens a prosecution file only when a charge is formally filed.
Because each record captures a different stage, the booking charge may not match the later bill of information. Neither one establishes guilt. The court's final disposition is the source for whether a filed case ended in conviction, dismissal, acquittal, or another result.
Inside JPSO's Inmate Feed
The Jackson Parish Sheriff's Office publishes an OCV/TheSheriffApp inmate feed at its public inmate endpoint. The interface is a searchable and sortable list, descending by date, arranged in five-item cards. It does not present a separate form that requires first name, last name, and date of birth.
Samples showed the displayed name, age, booking date and time, bond amount, charge code and description, some felony or misdemeanor labels, warrants, warrant numbers, issuing parish, other-agency holds, and sentenced-status text. Samples did not show a photo, DOB, race, sex, height, weight, booking number, arresting agency, pod, judge, court date, or release date.
Stale-feed warning: On July 26, 2026, the newest displayed bookings appeared to be from March 15, 2025. An official-looking feed can still be old. Confirm current housing, transfer, or release by calling the jail.
Looking Up Jackson Parish Arrests
Search the feed by name or text and keep it sorted newest first. Record the timestamp, exact charge wording, bond, warrant, and hold. Since the inspected feed appeared stale, call 318-395-6400, the number in the JPSO feed, or 318-259-8799, the correctional center number in the DPS&C directory. Ask whether the person is presently housed, transferred, or released and request a booking number.

A fresh arrest may not yet have a court case. An empty clerk result soon after booking does not establish that the matter was declined.
Jackson Booking Fields and Gaps
Booking usually includes identity intake, property inventory, fingerprints, a photograph, initial charges and warrants, medical or security screening, and bond or first-appearance processing. The public feed exposes only some of that work. Booking photographs were not present in the reviewed public samples, so a reader should not expect a mugshot merely because intake likely captured an image.

Juvenile arrests and proceedings are confidential. The adult roster should never be presented as a place to find juvenile data.
Which Agency Owns the Report
Reports remain with the originating agency. For a sheriff-created report, JPSO's policy requires a written request mailed to 150 Old Winnfield Road, Jonesboro, LA 71251. It publishes 318-259-9021 and fax 318-259-8268 but no request form, email submission promise, fee, ID rule, or set turnaround. A phone call can clarify the request but does not satisfy the published written-mail rule.

A useful request identifies the report or booking number, date, approximate time and location, involved person, agency, and exact item. Ask for electronic delivery and an advance cost estimate. Active investigations, juvenile matters, protected victims, sources, undercover identities, techniques, and security details may be withheld or redacted.
Booking Logs and Recent Arrests
The two local facilities are the Jackson Parish Correctional Center at 327 Industrial Drive and the Transitional Work Program at 287 Industrial Drive in Jonesboro. Official pages did not publish rated capacity, unit types, visitation or money vendors, mail format, phone provider, ID rules, or release-door procedures. Call the facility instead of borrowing rules from another parish.
The correctional center and work program describe different placements. “In custody” does not reveal which setting applies. A hold can also indicate that another agency wants custody. Verify the holding agency and current location before arranging a visit or sending funds.
Jackson Sheriff App Features
The official mobile app is “Jackson Parish Sheriff, LA,” published by OCV. Advertised features include emergency, road, and breaking-news alerts; confidential tips; inmate viewing; bail information; Most Wanted details; local registry information; services; and push notifications. The inmate and sex-offender links also exist on the web. Native alerts are the main app-specific advantage.
Use the Apple App Store listing or Google Play listing. The app directs emergencies to 911. Its P3 confidential-tip feature is not a report request, warrant self-check, or substitute for calling the jail.
Arrests Are Not Convictions
A booking entry reports custody and initial charge language. The district attorney may decline, reduce, add, or change charges. “Not guilty” is a plea. “Dismissed” and “nolle prosequi” concern the prosecution but do not automatically remove the original booking. A suspended sentence still follows a conviction unless statutory relief later changes access.
For a final result, use the Jackson Parish Clerk's docket and underlying disposition. The clerk's online criminal and traffic index starts January 1, 1988 and is behind account access. Older files, missing images, and certified results require the Room 103 counter. A name-only match should always be checked against case or booking number and dates.
Following a Jackson Parish Transfer
LA VINE is the next layer after a person enters Louisiana state custody or community supervision. DPS&C says it updates every 24 hours. Call 225-383-4580 with the DPS&C number, or the person's name plus date of birth, to ask for facility assignment, address and contact, and projected release when applicable.

Jackson Warrant and Hold Terms
The roster showed “Failure to Appear,” “Bench warrant,” numbered warrants, issuing parishes, bond or no-bond status, and other-agency holds. A warrant listed on a booking card proves that the jail reported it for an already booked person at that time. It is not a public list of all active warrants.
No complete public Jackson Parish warrant database was found. JPSO's Most Wanted data was empty on inspection, and an empty list does not mean no warrants exist. To resolve a possible warrant, call JPSO, contact the issuing court, inspect a related clerk case, and obtain current instructions. Do not appear at an office based only on stale web data.
From Intake to Jackson Court
Jail intake can include identity checks, property handling, fingerprints, an image, screening, initial charges, warrants, and bond processing. The public card is only a small view of that work. Fingerprints sent through Louisiana's identification system can link a new arrest cycle to an existing master identity. If prints do not match, the state can create a new identity record. LACCH contains Louisiana events reported to it, not every out-of-state arrest or each local narrative.
The next legal step may be a first appearance and bond review, followed by prosecutor screening or grand-jury action. A bill of information or indictment states the filed charge. Arraignment records a plea. Motions, hearings, trial or plea, sentencing, and any appeal create later clerk entries. That path explains why the roster and court file can show different words without either database being defective.
When the goal is correction of the subject's own statewide record, use Louisiana State Police Right to Review through LAPS. The public cannot name-search LACCH. If the self-review result lacks a Jackson Parish disposition, obtain the outcome from the clerk or prosecutor and follow BCII's correction instructions. A public-record request to JPSO cannot substitute for fingerprint-linked state review.

Correcting a Jackson Arrest Match
A wrong-person match should be resolved with identifiers from the originating record, not by asking a private search tool to decide identity. Preserve the URL, access date, displayed name, booking date, and record number. Contact the jail or arresting agency for its source entry, then compare the court disposition. For a fingerprint-linked LACCH error, the subject can use Right to Review and BCII's challenge process. Each custodian corrects its own record, so changing a clerk entry does not automatically rewrite an agency report or an old third-party copy.
